What information do we collect?
We collect personal data on or via our website only if you directly provide it to us, with your consent. For example, if you decide to follow the website, buy items from our website shop, or contact us through the Contact Us page, you will be asked to provide some personal information, such as your name and email address.
We use analytical and statistical tools that monitor details of your visits to our website and the resources that you access, including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data (but this data will not identify you personally).
When you leave a comment on our site, we collect the data shown in the form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Our site uses the Akismet anti-spam service. This collects information about visitors who leave comments, including the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).
Share your story page
There are pages on the site where you can share your story anonymously. On these pages, we collect only the story and optionally a name (which can be a pseudonym) that you enter in the form, and also your IP address. The IP address is stored automatically and we do not use it or analyse it in any way. We delete it after we have transferred the data you entered into our offline systems.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies last for one year.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Third Party Links
Our website includes links to third party websites. These should have their own privacy policies, which you can check. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies as we have no control over them.
How long do we retain your data?
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Controlling the use of your data
If you do not want us to use your data, you can contact us at nordicmodelnow [at] gmail.com and ask us to delete it.
We will process, disclose or share your personal data only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal requirements such as legal process served on us or the website.
We will never sell your data or use it for marketing purposes (other than anything you specifically sign up for).
The website shop
While you visit our shop, we track:
- Products you’ve viewed: we use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed.
- Location, IP address and browser type.
When you purchase from us, we ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, and phone number. We use this information for purposes, such as, to:
- Send you information about your account and order
- Send you the order
- Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Comply with any legal obligations
- Improve our store offerings
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.
We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and store services to you.
