This webinar looked at the so-called grooming gang scandals in the UK and asked where the idea came from. Is it totally alien behaviour that was brought to the UK from Pakistan? Or was the brutal sexual use and abuse of mostly working-class women and girls already deeply embedded in British culture? Was the fear of being accused of racism the main reason that the authorities turned a blind eye? Or was it really a lot more complicated?
This webinar discussed these questions and what can be done to bring about real change and an end to men having a free pass to sexually abuse working class girls in particular.
