WEBINAR | Sunday 23 February 2025
What is OnlyFans? How does it work? Is it realistic for girls and young women to expect to quickly make loads of money on OnlyFans? Why do we keep hearing about women on OnlyFans, like Lily Phillips and Bonnie Blue, doing ever more desperate stunts?
These are some of the questions that this webinar addressed. OnlyFans survivor, Roxie Roots, and feminist activist, Elly Arrow, will discuss how OnlyFans works and how it is affecting women and girls more widely and what it means for society.
Speakers
Roxie Roots is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse (CSA). After a life of not fitting in she ended up in the ‘sex abuse industry’, where she experienced all forms of commercial sexual abuse, including digital exploitation, as she witnessed the rise of OnlyFans. She has lived experience of how pornography shapes and fuels our culture and now speaks publicly about her experiences with a special focus on talking to youth about the marketing of ‘sexual liberation’ by educating about its harms.
